Clarence Primary School turns 118 !

They say:” The most beautiful things in life are celebrated with moments and memories.” Our School’s 118th birthday on the 3rd August, will certainly be remembered with great fondness as a moment to treasure. The special two metre birthday cake added to the atmosphere of pomp and excitement for both the children and the staff.

Each class celebrated our wonderful School by putting up class displays in honour of our school.  This was a competition that was judged by three staff members.  Both Mrs Ras and Mrs Moodley’s Grade R classes swooped the floating trophy for the Foundation Phase. Mrs Mthiyane Grade Six class was placed first in the Senior & Intermediate Phase.

Former staff were invited to share in this special day. The school’s rich past and traditions are important pillars which have shaped Clarence Primary School into the wonderful melting pot of cultures that it is today.  Once the formalities were over, each child tucked into a delicious bite of the amazing birthday cake.
