Grade R Sports Day Report

What an unforgettable and fun-filled day (16/09/25) it was for our Grade R learners and parents!

Our little ones were split into four vibrant groups – Yellow, Green, Red, and Orange – each bursting with excitement and team spirit. The day kicked off with a lively parade, complete with vibey music and joyful marching around the field, led by our energetic teachers. Parents were not left out – they joined in the fun with cheering, clapping, and even dancing from their spots on the sidelines.

The races brought endless excitement, with learners giving it their all in a variety of fun events. Parents also had their moment in the spotlight with their own races, which brought plenty of laughter and cheer from the crowd. One of the biggest highlights of the day was the tug-of-war competition. Parents teamed up with Grade RK and RC class teachers in a battle of strength that had everyone shouting and cheering until the very end.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, our in-house DJ kept the vibe alive with non-stop music, inspiring both parents and teachers to dance throughout the day. A truly special moment came when our teachers were called to the field to take on the famous Jerusalema challenge. With parents cheering and the DJ hyping them up, our teachers put on a fantastic show, impressing everyone with their dance moves.

To wrap up the day, each learner received a special goodie bag filled with their favourite treats – the perfect ending to a day full of joy and laughter.

It was a spectacular day where learners, parents, and teachers came together to celebrate in true Clarence spirit. A big thank you to our amazing Grade R learners, parents, and teachers for making Sports Day 2025 an event to remember!
