The Solemn Pledge by Members of the Governing Body of Clarence Primary School.
We the members of the governing body of our school, make a Solemn pledge that we:
- Shall promote the best interests of our school and strive to ensure its development through the provision of quality education for all learners at our school.
- Shall also execute other SGB functions as enunciated in sections 20 and 21 of the South African Schools Act, No. 84 of 1996.
- Shall prioritise the interests of learners as paramount in all our decision-making processes as enacted in Section 2(2) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.
- Shall conduct ourselves honourably in accordance with the KZN code of SGB members (Volume 12,Notice No.1914).
- Shall act with honesty and integrity in the processes of recruitment, selection and recommendation for the employment of Educators and management.
- Shall ensure that all financial resources are used effectively towards the provision of quality education to all learners of our school.
- Shall always strive to be good ambassadors, protectors and defenders of the name and image of our school as well as the KZN Department of Education.
This pledge was signed by all members on the 8th day of April 2024 at Clarence Primary School.
